Topical Search System of SearchInform Technologies represents a complex of software allowing conducting narrow search through predefined list of resources. Topical search includes all the possibilities of the Personal Internet complemented by the functions of monitoring the leading search engines (Google, Yandex, Yahoo, Msn), adding new resources to the database with the help of preset list of key words, and a feature of search for documents similar in content for realizing the function of drawing up reports on ‘similar’ material for certain period of time.
Google (or any other search engine) indexes an extensive number of resources and consequently does it slowly. For example, a message on a blog or a comment on a forum will be indexed (and consequently will show up in the search results) at latest in a few weeks. When using Personal Internet indexation is conducted on a daily basis (or in the interval set by the user) and through the predefined list of resources, which allows receiving new information and data on time. By the way, one of the possible applications may be quick tracing of the information posted by the competitors. The marketing department may need a system of ‘rapid reaction’ for tracing all changes in forums, blogs and news web sites.
Adding resources to database
The administrator compiles the list of the web sites that will further on be indexed by the system.
The administrator determines the key words dealing with the given topic. Then the system submits the given key words as a query to search engines (Google, Yandex, etc.) and processes the results received. The domains whose pages contain the key words are submitted to the necessary ‘topic’ either automatically or manually with ‘moderation’.
SEARCH FOR DOCUMENTS SIMILAR IN CONTENT
When examining information it is sometimes necessary to find additional data on the same issue quite often. Say, having looked through an article on a mobile phone on one resource one needs to check information on the same model on other sites. A unique technology of search for documents similar in content is used in order to provide the user with all the information similar in content and sense from the index on the needed subject. It is this technology that makes it possible to retrieve all the similar materials from all the resources available in the ‘topic’ in a blink of an eye.

Topical search will allow outputting in the search result list only the information on the given topic while automatically segregating the data into subtopics. The users will be able to receive fresh information on the subject of interest segregated by subtopics due to indexing resources with a similar subject, monitoring in the real time mode with the help of the specially developed ‘spider’ and search for similar.
