SearchInform contains a connector for organizing full text search in scanned electronic documents transferred into text format by ABBYY Recognition Server. After installing the connector, SearchInform automatically discerns the location of recognized documents and includes them into the search index.
When creating a new index, you need to select ABBYY Recognition Server in the Add data source menu.

Next specify the address and network port of ABBYY Recognition Server. You also need to install ABBYY Recognition Server Agent on the same computer as ABBYY Recognition Server, if it hadn’t been done earlier.

When installing the agent program it asks you to identify the user whose name will be used when launching the server.

Finally, after installing the agent on a remote computer, you can set the system up to automatically delete the files recognized by ABBYY Recognition Server that had been previously deleted from the computer. This operation can also be conducted manually.
