In order to connect to a database you have to customize the connection parameter string. When creating a connection you’ll have to first choose one of the drivers registered with the system for your database.
A standard procedure of customizing a connection to a database is to follow:
Having successfully customized connection to the database you can choose a way of retrieving data from a selected database:
If the option of retrieving data from tables is selected, all possible database tables will be displayed for the user to choose from:
For every object in the table all fields containing text data will be available for indexing. The key field for record will be the primary key predefined in the table:
