Lotus Notes

SearchInform contains a ready data source for connecting to any database that has Lotus Notes drivers installed in its system. In order to connect to a Lotus-based database you need to specify the server name, user name and user password.

For the user authentication to take place, you need to enter the password.

Once the authentication takes place, data sources start searching for available Lotus Notes servers and finally get a list of available databases from the active server.

Once this procedure is completed, the following window appears. In this window you can select the Lotus Notes Server to be used. Once the server is selected, a list of databases affiliated to it appears.

The next step is to select the databases to be indexed. The program examines the specified database and retrieves a list of fields that are by default marked as attributes.

Once you specify the fields to be indexed, you are enabled to select whether you want the text to be treated as an attribute or as a document in its own format.

Once all settings are completed, click on save to start indexing.
