Domestic search

The tests have shown that the program doesn’t perform search for txt and html document formats in Russian and allows finding them only by their titles, not by contents. The only thing Copernic has to offer to improve the search quality is the standard set of logical operations. Regardless of a weak query analysis the program has an interesting system – the user can choose file type (graphics, video, music, etc), enter search query and pick features common only for that particular type of files. After that type of query a quite extensive list of information appears in the result window and if files of types different from your specification also happened to fit the query, you can open then as well by clicking on a certain link.

The content of the files shows under the list of results, you have an opportunity to look through multimedia files. Copernic sees and indexes “attached” network discs. But that’s about all it does. A good example of a simple “home” search engine.
