The functions used in ISYS significantly more powerful than simple support of logical operations and are on the same level as those of dtSearch. Among the program’s advanced functions are use of synonyms, sorting filters (by path, title and date of creation of the file). Beside logical operators, the program supports work with other operators that are sometimes able to replace certain types of search, like, for instance, search with syntactic analysis can very well be replaced by special symbols. Absence of morphological search came as a surprise, though such functions as “fuzzy search” and “heuristics analysis”. ISYS offers a choice of quite a few “visual” types of search queries.

Search results are quite informative, displayed as a list of documents, sorted by relevancy. As opposed to Copernic Desktop Search, preview here is available only in plain text mode. The program lets you sort documents by certain criteria (by default they are sorted by relevancy). You can also look thought already found files selecting separate folders (it’s especially convenient when the result displays a big number of documents).

Using the program in the corporate network is well-justified as it offers reasonable options for organizing search in a network. The search system is based on a shared index, which would contain the indexed data from shared network resources. A well-worked through document rubrication is yet another advantage to the corporate use of this tool.
