Local Search Programs

Other important characteristics are index size and indexing speed. In online search systems the size of index doesn’t represent much interest usually – that’s the problem of search engine’s owner. For the local search the importance of these characteristics switches places: index size is of a higher priority than indexing speed since indexing and re-indexing takes place quite seldom and the user can very well wait for that to complete.
