Domestic search

Interface dtSearch is quite simple, but some windows and property pages are overloaded with elements, which creates an impression of complexity of use. The only really negative moment is the absence of Russian interface, even though the search of documents can be performed in a few languages. Although, dtSearch is one of a few utilities that can index web-pages with the “depth” set by the user (for that, though, you need to buy an add-on dtSearch Spider additionally).

There is a morphological search (a word in all its stem forms), search with correction of the mistakes (with typos) and synonyms search. dtSearch can conduct search using phrases, consisting of words joined by logical operations. Each word in the query can be given its own set weight.

All in all it’s not a bad program in the line of professional search engines. We didn’t see any Russian text settings neither in searching nor in morphological and fuzzy search. The system quite adequately found the required documents at the simple one-word query, as well as using a few text paragraphs as a key phrase.
