SearchInform Features - Indexing and speed

SearchInform uses index search. Before conducting the search session, it is necessary to index all the information to be searched through (to create an index file which will be used by the utility).

When creating the index you should define the location on the hard drive from which the information to be indexed will be read.

The text indexing speed on modern computers reaches up to 15-30 GB per hour, which is 4-10 times as high as that of the recognized leader among search engines Hummignbird.

There are no limitations on the index size and their number in SearchInform. You can create any number of indexes and index any amount of information, be it the news selection of 50 MB or library archive in PDF format, occupying dozens of gigabytes of hard drive space.

One of the SearchInform search engine advantages is the stable speed of indexing vast information volumes (1 gigabyte and more). SearchInform indexes are creates faster and weigh less.
