SearchInform Improves Speed, Context Searches
SearchInform Technologies Inc has introduced a new version of SearchInform, its text and document context search, adding new interface settings as well as enhanced indexing and information search algorithms.
The company said the latest version's upgraded information search and indexing algorithms increase the program's speed and consequently its convenience. It also features a new SoftInform feature that searches for documents with similar content.
Improvements have also been made to the way the program works with the index and TheBat mail client. A user can now set file description columns in the results window, while results columns can be modified to suit the user.
Indexing speed has been improved from 15 to 30 Gb/hour, while there is support for over 60 text formats including Outlook & TheBat electronic messages, MP3 & .AVI tags, and logs of MSN and ICQ instant messaging programs.
