5. Internet Software Based on SoftInform Search Technology

5.1. Site Indexer

This is an external site indexing service based on the SoftInform search technology. It is an efficient and cost effective solution for searching within a site. For a site owner it is much more profitable to use the external service of searching within his resources than developing and connecting a separate "search engine". First of all, SoftInform technologies provide the ability to perform full text search, not just attributive or "direct" (without an index, by browsing) search that can be furnished on a site more or less successfully. Second of all, the cost of such a solution is much lower than that of its counterparts (due to the top speed of SoftInform software and the unprecedented technology that reduce maintenance costs). The indexing server, index creation and overall service operation are solely the responsibility of SoftInform, and, consequently, do not require any additional resources from the customer. 

5.2. SearchInform Personal Internet

 5.2.1. Description

This product is designed for helping user create his or her own mini-Internet and perform search in various sites added to the database. In addition, a search Internet-service can be created on the basis of Personal Internet. The high speed of reacting to updates of sites in the database (re-indexing at a time specified by user) and much more accurate relevance of search results as compared to globally recognized search engines (due to lack of garbage search is pinpointed at resources relevant for the user) will deliver any information of interest in no time.

This solution will be shipped in two variants:
- a dedicated SoftInform server + complete maintenance (SoftInform  is totally responsible for service operation)
- deploying SoftInform software on customer server and technical support

 5.2.2. The Benefits of using Personal Internet

User queries are process much more relevantly than in case of "large" search engines. The number of resources on the search "topic" is hundreds and thousands times smaller, and, what is more important, all resources are dedicated to the selected topic only.

5.3. Topical Search

 5.3.1. Description

The Topical Search system of the SoftInform company is a software package for performing pin-pointed search of information in the Internet within a pre-defined list of resources. Topical search includes all the features of Personal Internet complementing it with monitoring leading search engines (Google, Yandex, Yahoo, Msn) and adding new resources to the database by key words, as well as the presence of documents with a similar content for generating a "similarity" report for a certain period of time.

Google (or any other search engine) indexes a gigantic amount of resources and, consequently, does it slowly. For example, a forum message or a blog comment will be indexed (and, consequently, included into search results) at worst in a couple of weeks. With Personal Internet, however, indexing is performed on a daily basis (or at a user-defined interval) and by a limited list of resources, which eventually timely produces new data. By the way, one of the applications of the system could be tracking information about competitors. Such a system of "prompt response" will come in handy to marketing departments so they can react to any changes in forums, blogs and news sites without delay.

 5.3.2. Adding Resources to the Database

Administrator specifies the key words related to the topic in question. Then the system will add the key words in the form of a query for search engines (Google, Yandex, etc.) and process the result. The domains, the pages of which contain the key words, are automatically (or manually in "moderated" mode) added to the appropriate "topic".

 5.3.3. Searching Documents with a Similar Content

It is often the case that certain information calls for additional data on the topic. For example, having viewed an article on a new cell phone on one resource you need to find the information on this model on other sites as well. The unparalleled technology for searching similar documents will ensure that you get all the information with similar contents from the index.  5.3.4. Summary

Topical search will display in the resulting list only the information on the topic in question and automatically categorize it in sub-rubrics. Indexing for a particular purpose of similar resources only, real-time monitoring of the resources by a special "spider" and the unique search similar function will provide the user with latest categorized information on a topic of interest.
